PSI’s identify potentially preventable complications that can occur in the hospital following operations and procedures. PSIs are utilized as a quality measurement by multiple federal programs and help facilitate comparative reporting and quality improvement at the hospital level.
PSI 12 PERIOPERATIVE PULMONARY EMBOLISM (PE) OR DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS (DVT) RATE HOI is one of three hospitals (out of 290 hospitals) in California and one of 36 hospitals (out of 3,111 hospitals) in the United States with perioperative PE/DVT rate that is better than national rate.
