“WE TIRELESSLY STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE. THE COMMUNITY WE SERVE DESERVES
NOTHING SHORT OF PERFECTION.”
JEFF BERNHARDT, RN, CLINICAL DIRECTOR OF MSSSC
Rigorous tracking at HOI, MSSSC and OSCOC of patient safety metrics protects patients. Standardized measures selected by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for FY 2013 to measure the quality of care for patients in the ASC setting include: patient burns; patient falls; wrong site, wrong side, wrong patient, wrong procedure, wrong implant; hospital transfer/admission; and prophylactic intravenous antibiotic timing. Here is how MSSSC fared on this important benchmark.
