Joint Replacement Program

HOI remains the West Coast’s volume leader in hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgery. This expertise, coupled with relentless dedication to patient outcomes, safety and innovation, is why more patients continue to choose HOI.

With 10 robotic devices supporting our fellowship-trained joint replacement surgeons, HOI reached a 1000 robotic surgeries milestone, while continuing to see exceptional outcomes enterprise-wide. One of HOI’s leading hip replacement surgeons performed the first total hip arthroplasty (THA) on the West Coast using the Corin ApolloHipX hip replacement robotic assist system.

Additionally, HOI surgeons contributed to educating the next generation of joint surgeons by hosting the Anterior Hip Foundation’s traveling fellowship program. Through the program, early-career surgeons shadow world-renowned experts in anterior hip arthroplasty and participate in hands-on learning and interactive discussions in an immersive, operating room-focused fellowship.

“We were pleased to share the latest in arthroplasty techniques and technologies that are currently being employed at HOI,” said Dr. Gorab, an early adopter of anterior hip replacement and chairman of the Hoag Orthopedics joint arthroplasty fellowship program.
