At the end of 2018, HOI entered into a partnership with ProSport Physical Therapy & Performance, which provides rehabilitation services for thousands of patients each year. Through this new partnership, HOI provides greater value – more seamless, highly coordinated orthopedic care and rehabilitation for its patients.
Like HOI, ProSport is known throughout the Orange County community and beyond for providing quality medical care to patients. Its comprehensive rehabilitation services are provided to all patients, including professional and top- performing athletes.
Because physical therapy is an essential component of the continuum of care for the orthopedic patient, HOI leadership chose to partner with a like-minded rehabilitation provider. Improved care coordination between the surgical experience and rehabilitation helps patients to return more quickly to sports, work and life.
Joe Donohue, PT, chief executive officer and founder of ProSport (pictured above, fourth from right), states, “After 27 years of uncompromising efforts to build ProSport into the leading physical therapy and sports performance brand in Southern California, we are thrilled to enter into this partnership with HOI.”
ProSport operates three 10,000 square-foot physical therapy facilities in Orange County, encompassing Costa Mesa, Laguna Hills and Rancho Santa Margarita. It also operates a facility in Rancho Palos Verdes. ProSport has been providing performance training and physical therapy to more professional athletes than any other Orange County facility.
Ask any member of Orange County Soccer Club what the key differentiator is in their care through the club or previous organizations, and they’ll all tell you the same thing: They don’t have to go far for on- or off-the-field orthopedic care.
“Everything is in one place, from speaking with one of the team doctors, to physical therapy to performance training,” says OCSC defender and 10-year professional soccer veteran Kevin Alston. “I can chat with the team docs and they’ve already spoken with the trainers at ProSport, so when I come in, I can do physical therapy and the team training all in one place. It’s one stop that has everything you need to get faster, stronger and back on the field more quickly.”
The Orange County Soccer Club is Orange County’s only professional soccer team, competing since 2011. HOI helped OCSC defender Kevin Alston, shown here, and the rest of the club stay healthy and complete the 2018 season in record breaking fashion for wins, points and attendance.
