PREVENTING INFECTIONS
HOI ASCs have sustained patient safety with
a major focus on preventing infections. The entire team is responsible and empowered to prevent infections. Through monthly monitoring, employee education and best practices, year after year MSSSC and OSCOC uphold very low infection rates.
Post Surgical Wound Infections
PROPHYLACTIC IV ANTIBIOTIC ADMINISTRATION ON-TIME
On time, pre-operative administration of antibiotics is considered a best practice to prevent surgical site infection after arthroplasty surgery. Because antibiotics’ effect is related to the timing of administration, it is helpful to follow how the routines with preoperative antibiotics are working.
