 PATIENT EXPERIENCE
 In today’s health care environment, providing an exceptional patient experience is just as important as delivering high-quality clinical care. Since opening, Hoag Orthopedic Institute has been dedicated to ensuring the best possible experience for patients. Accomplishing this means proactively engaging with patients, actively listening to their feedback, and identifying ways to enhance their overall experience. This culture of continuous improvement has led to a number of awards and accolades recognizing HOI for a superior patient experience.
HOI received three Press Ganey Patient Experience awards for 2020, including the Guardian of Excellence® for Patient Experience for the seventh consecutive year, the Pinnacle of Excellence® for Patient Experience in Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) for maintaining consistently high levels of excellence over multiple years, and the Pinnacle of Excellence® for Patient Experience in “Inpatient” for maintaining consistently high levels of excellence over multiple years.
