 OUTPATIENT SURGERY
AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTERS
Outpatient surgery in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) is increasingly attractive as a high-quality and safe alternative to the hospital setting. Surgery centers in the U.S. are in their fifth decade of providing high-quality and safe care at lower costs. The surgery centers of HOI have served the Orange County communities for almost 20 years.
HOI’s ASCs are certified by the CMS and accredited by the No. 1 national accrediting body – Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). Passing the rigorous process for both certification and accreditation every three years means they uphold high standards of care and safety for the people they serve. The ASCs are members of associations focused on surgery and surgery centers, such as Association for Professionals in Infection Control (APIC), Association for periOperating Registered Nurses (AORN), Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA) and California Ambulatory Surgery Association (CASA). This ensures HOI ASCs are up to date with best practices and changes and can offer patients and physicians the best in quality, safety
and excellence.
HOI’s ASCs collect data on a monthly basis to ensure they provide the right care to the patient. HOI uses an outside vendor to collect patient satisfaction feedback measuring how well the organization, personnel and physicians cater to customers. By continuously monitoring quality, they are always improving upon patient-centric care.
