For the past two years, HOI Executive Medical Director Alan H. Beyer, MD, has hosted a one- hour radio talk show airing on Saturdays at
noon on Angels Radio AM 830 KLAA. Dr. Beyer provides an informational and entertaining twist on sports medicine-related topics. He discusses current injury reports, features special guests, and  elds questions from listeners. In 2016, dozens

WALK TO CURE ARTHRITIS
The Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide event rallies communities and raises funds to conquer arthritis – the number-one cause of disability in the U.S., af icting more than 50 million people.
On May 15, 2016, the Orange County/Inland Empire Walk to Cure Arthritis held at Angel Stadium of Anaheim raised more than any of the other 76 walks nationwide, at $565,786. Hoag Orthopedic Institute was the signature sponsor again this year. Nearly 6,000 family members, team members and community health advocates walked the three-mile and one-mile courses around the stadium to support arthritis research leading to a cure.
