CLINICAL OUTCOMES AND INFECTION PREVENTION
HOI was an early adopter of best practices that focus on clinical outcome and infection prevention. This year, performance measures have demonstrated that outcomes for HOI patients were among the best in the nation.
READMISSION RATES
In 2016, CMS disincentivized more than half of the nation’s hospitals in which more patients than expected returned within a month following joint replacement and other key procedures.
In contrast, HOI experienced the nation’s lowest patient readmission rate for hip and knee replacement surgery, as reported by Becker’s Healthcare Review, referencing CMS data.
